Patricia Rockwood

As the daughter of an elementary art teacher, Patricia Rockwood has created original works throughout her life. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Art from the College of Wooster, Ohio, where she specialized in drawing. She lived in Cleveland after graduation until a move to Florida in 1986, where she currently resides.

As a self-taught mosaic artist since the early 2000s, she has completed more than two dozen interior and exterior mosaic wall and panel commissions for private individuals and corporations, as well as a wide range of sculptural projects and watercolor studies. 

Patricia Rockwood currently teaches beginning and advanced mosaic art classes at the Suncoast Technical College, Sarasota. Rockwood is represented in Florida by the Elizabeth Stevens Gallery at Towles Court in Sarasota; the Baobab Gallery in The Village of the Arts, Bradenton; and the Venice Art Center, Venice.
